You choose when to record, what to keep, and when to delete it.

What Orb uses

Orb records when you tap or hold its microphone control. Your voice and text are processed online to create your result. Accessibility access helps Orb find your text field and place your words there. Orb skips password, number and phone fields where it can identify them. Some custom fields may behave differently.

What stays on your phone

Orb keeps your 20 most recent results in local history. Completed recordings are removed after processing. Failed recordings stay until you retry, discard them or log out. Cancel removes the current recording.

Sign-in credentials are encrypted on your phone. History is kept in private app storage but is not separately encrypted by Orb. Android backup is disabled for Orb.

What stays online

Your account includes your email, sign-in profile and login details. Orb also keeps your voice duration, AI command count and request status to manage your monthly allowance. These usage records contain no recordings or dictation text and stay until you delete your account.

The voice service does not intentionally save your recordings or results in its database. Service providers may keep operational or security records under their own policies.

Services we use

Google handles Google sign-in, Supabase handles accounts and usage, Vercel hosts Orb's service, and Groq processes voice and AI requests. Your voice/text goes to the voice service; account information goes to the account service. Our current account and hosting region is the United States. Providers may process information in other countries.

Your controls

You can clear history, discard recordings, log out or turn off microphone and Accessibility permissions in Android settings.

Account → Delete account permanently removes your Orb account and usage records from the active database. It also clears your Orb session, profile, history and saved audio on that phone. Your Google account and words pasted into other apps are unaffected. Clear Orb's storage on any other devices you use.

Provider backups/logs, support emails and legally required records may remain under their retention rules. If you cannot access Orb, request deletion by email; we verify account ownership first.

Orb currently has no advertising SDK. This notice will be updated when data handling changes. Google login is limited to approved testers; public email signup and password recovery are still being prepared.
